you know im postponeing sleep for this(yes im going to sleep at3.30 pm )
but I was just thinking how this whole deal with drm is rediculass1 If
im gonna pay for my music not only is it for the most part cheeper to
jsut buy cds then download music but I can do more with cds. sure its a
little more work(damn im tired i was trying tofigure out why i know sure
wasnt spelled with an o when i knew that there was a word like
that.......i was thinking of shore.......im not gonna speel check this
screw it i need sleep)bvut if i want i can have MP3 or any other format
i want drm free(or not). While I understand that the atraction is to get
just the one or two sangs you like I'm sorry im not gonna pay for
something if I cant use it the way I need to. Actualy I've given up on
music from anyone suporting drm or the RIAA and what it stands for(in
case your ignorant or have been indoctranated that means, well um it
self and its power and money, and its right to fix prices, under pay and
sometimes not pay artists, oh and the and the technological and scocial
stagnation of the USA and if possible the whole world(tho this last one
is just a means to the aforementioned ends.). I will not even file share
their stuff, they dont need any more advertisements. I figure there is
plenty of other really good music out there that will cost me less and
get the artist more. THIS is the only music you will find in my shared
folder or indeed find on the rest of my computer, with the exception of
what I alredy own. The only thing that filesharing hurts is the cartels,
the music industry can only gain from the open sharing of music. I could
go on and talk more in depth about the DMCA and how flawed it is and why
open source can only stengthen and accelerate progress in computing and
socyity at large, BUT, im tired and you probobly have had enough of my
mad rabling so ill save it for another time.
